WESTWORLD encompasses the epitome of Character Creation:

Please tell me, (especially if you’re the reader/writer type) that you have at least a mental bank of bad-arse characteristics and traits that you like your film subjects to possess. If you said you don’t – it’s likely that on the surface you do not realize that you do. Whatever your favorite movie/show is – the protagonist (star) of that show or their co-star (that keeps you glued to the scene) possesses some type of bad-arse characteristic that you like.
Me? I’m a writer. I create stories — most are inspired by life circumstances and situations. I craft them from specific highlights to broadly general, depending on what “the message” calls for. Story is told through characters. I love dissecting and creating new characters – so yes, I CHARACTER Much.
I have learned a lot from some of my favorite shows of the past – and not all were fiction. I am still learning tons about character traits from my current favorite shows like BILLIONS and SUCCESSION. Don’t even get me started on the content inside of POWER’s character bible. I’ll bet it’s intense and likely a bit shocking, but I’m up for the read.
Let’s look at some very familiar and strong characters that I admire:

What characters, characteristics, and traits do you admire; which ones inspire you? Have you ever adopted any of those traits for yourself? If you have not – I wonder what adopting a new trait would look like in your life. If you have adopted a trait from a favorite character – I’m curious as to how that’s working out for you?
I won’t lie to you, I have a little bit of all of them residing inside of me.
I CHARACTER Much for specific benefits; I CHARACTER Much for film and TV.
I rarely watch a thing without analyzing the dialogue and who’s saying it.
I rarely watch the view of any hue that’s half-hearted and not “slaying it.”
I like to learn, people. I enjoy experiencing and mirroring what moves you.
I CHARACTER Much after studying such, then I craft a comparable role in a new groove.
Award-winning compositions are proof that character traits “make the show,”
